I've heard rumors of a guy in Mendocino who bought a new mustang for his wife back in the late sixties. She had an unfortunate accident before he could give it to her, and it's been sitting in his garage ever since.
There is also an old woman that you see driving a late fifties Corvette that her husband bought for her brand new back in the day. Recently a local service station rIsed money to have it rebuilt for her so she could continue to drive it. She's a bit of a local institution.
